Alexander Schwada

Alex has advised a wide range of clients on real estate transactions. He has negotiated, performed due diligence on, and closed the acquisition and sale of land, industrial, retail and multifamily assets and shopping centers, as well as negotiated office, industrial and retail leases on both the landlord and tenant side.
His experience also includes advising renewable energy developers on all aspects of real estate related matters. This work has encompassed counseling clients throughout the lifecycle of renewable energy projects, from site selection and land acquisition to providing guidance on securing necessary site control. By leveraging his expertise, Alex assists renewable energy developers launch and operate their projects while minimizing risk.
Alex began his career at a boutique real estate law firm in Los Angeles, where he worked on a number of commercial real estate transactions and also assisted the firm's hotel clients in a variety of real estate, management and business issues.
Alex graduated with a B.A. from Haverford College and received his J.D. from UCLA, where he was a managing editor of the UCLA Law Review. Outside of the office, Alex plays basketball (he played on the Haverford College men's basketball team).
